This incident took place in 2021. I was in the fifth grade, traveling with my elder brother, William, and our family to Germany for a vacation. We were driving through the famous Black Forest, a place known for its eerie legends and mysterious past. It was nighttime, and my father was behind the wheel. He was an experienced driver and loved driving himself during long trips, despite being a businessman. William, who was in the eighth grade, sat beside me in the backseat, enjoying the scenic yet unsettling route. My grandfather, however, had stayed back home due to his poor health.
